Another little piece that turned up almost by itself--with all its flaws--as I was messing around in Corel Painter X. I'll leave it here for a while and mayble I'll get back to fix it later, if I can...
Supposed to depict a scene right after the first snowfall in early Winter. =from the effort of thinking up that last comment, phew!
Haha, thanks a million. Yes, and far, far cheaper to produce! I used to do traditional watercolors since I was a youngster. The cost of paint tubes, quality brushes and good cold-pressed paper has gotten so stupidly expensive that I gave up. Now I do all my stuff on the computer and spend the money I save on beer and wine.
yeah! sounds so cool. I really understand you, here in Russia the paints and canvases very expensive too. I make the computer paintings sometimes, it's look like a oil pictures, but it other way than my new watercolor series.. These digital works only for my eyes, I don't put it here
Gee, thanks, hahaha. I think if you do the "download" and get real close to the pic you'll see how it's made up;it took me six superimposed layers. Frankly, it wasn't my original intent to create realism per se. I think I'll redo the sky, it needs color. That section it's just a gradient layer to which I applied dabs of color, with a very soft brush, of the same shade I spread throughout the picture to give it cohesiveness. On the lower right side it looks vaguely, to me, like there is some sort of water mixed with the snow... I think I should make that into a stream lapping up against a brownish, wet bank. Anyhow, your comments is truly appreciated. This reply serves me to note some of the stuff that needs reworking. Have a nice day, Erratic-Pixel

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.
